Finally, Apple is going to remove its huge display notch. A very recent Apple iPhone 14 leak confirms a punch-hole display from a strong source.
The iPhone’s notch had always been a questionable part. But it seemed like Apple had no plans to remove it.
It’s 2022. We now have phones with under-display cameras. That means now manufacturers do not want to compromise a single pixel for camera housing. So in this era sticking with that big notch looks old-fashioned. Although it has been a sign of a new generation iPhone, people actually don’t like the notch.
Yes, it affects the looks and covers a little portion of the display. For a lot of people, it matters.
But the problem is that the iPhone’s notch is there for an important reason. It not only contains the selfie camera. The notch includes one of the most appealing features of the iPhone. That is the retina scanner sensor and it can’t be wiped out.
So in iPhone 14, the retina scanner might take place beside the top speaker. If Apple wants to keep the functionality the same without interrupting the display, the upper speaker housing is the only option.
The leak also revealed the punch-hole camera will be a 48MP sensor.
As the source strongly claims some sharp specs, it can’t be just a rumor. The iPhone 14 will carry a 6.06 inch and the Pro variant will contain a 6.7 inch OLED display. Apple will use LG LTPO displays. In iPhone 14 Pro the display will be 120Hz as the 13 Pro.
Some other leaks are claiming that only the Pro variants will get a punch-hole display. There the non-Pro iPhone will continue with the notch. Moreover, the revised iPhone SE model is supposed to be released in early 2022.
Surely you are not going to see the Apple iPhone 14 lineup before Sept 2022. So until some official announcement, You have to rely on the Apple iPhone 14 leak and rumors. We will keep sharing any further information right at the moment we get something.
